Casework or Assistance with Federal Agencies

Constituents may require help when they have a concern involving a federal agency.
My St. Louis office can act as a liaison between you and the federal agency.

Under the provisions of the Privacy Act of 1974, a federal agency cannot release information concerning an individual unless that person has given his or her expressed or written permission. For your convenience, you may write a letter or download my Privacy Act form here. Please include the following information:

•  Your name, mailing address, phone number;
•  Your Social Security number;
•  A brief but clear description of the problem, including a list of the steps you have already taken to resolve it ("bullet" format preferred; two-page maximum recommended)
•  Copies of supporting documents from the federal agency; and
•  Other relevant information.

The Privacy Act of 1974 requires Members of Congress and their staff to have written authorization before they can obtain information about an individual's case. If you have a case in the courts, the law does not allow me to intervene in legal cases.

Feel free to check out these links for more information on the following agencies.

•  Military and Veteran Affairs
•  Immigration
•  Social Security
•  Medicare
•  Housing
•  Tax
•  Grants
•  Passports / Traveling Abroad
•  Academy Appointments

State and local issues are handled by your elected state and local representatives. You can find contact information for your Missouri elected officials here.
