2007 Christian Statesman Award

On May 10, 2007, Congressman Todd Akin was awarded the 2007 Distinguished Christian Statesman Award by the Center for Christian Statesmanship (CCS) at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC.

Also on hand and speaking on Congressman Akin's behalf was Congressman Mike McIntyre (NC-7), a Democrat who received the Christian Statesmanship Award in 2006.

Distinguished Christian Statesman Award recipients in the past include former Congressman J.C. Watts, and Senator Sam Brownback.
